(KNOX) –One Grand Forks attempted murder case is heading to trial. Court records show 29-year-old D’Angelo Cortez Brent will stand trial September 29th for allegedly shooting a man multiple times after an argument last August.
In a separate case, 42-year-old Fernando Lucio has been deemed unfit to proceed on charges of stabbing his former girlfriend in February and is due back in court in October.
A 45-year-old Grand Forks woman has accepted a plea agreement that Judge Donald Hager is calling the most lenient he’s seen.
Erika Perez was charged with multiple drug crimes. She will serve 366 days with the state Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, as well as three years probation for dealing cocaine. She has 131 days of credit for time served and the rest of the sentence will be served on house arrest.
