(KNOX) – Former MTV Star and Grand Forks Middle School Teacher Tyler Duckworth was found dead last Tuesday at his Grand Forks apartment. The Grand Forks Police Department received a call for a welfare check at his residence on the 100 block of Fourth Avenue South.
Police found the 44-year-old in his bathroom and they believe there were no witnesses around when he died. There is no suspicion of someone else being responsible for his death.
The investigation is ongoing and an autopsy has been completed, but Grand Forks Police Department Lieutenant Travis Benson says it could take days or weeks to announce the results.
Duckworth was on MTV’s “The Real World: Key West” in 2006. He also competed on multiple seasons of “The Challenge,” and he appeared in 2022 on “All Stars 3,” which is a spin-off of “The Challenge.”
He is listed on the Grand Forks Public Schools website as a teacher at Valley Middle School. His LinkedIn account says he taught social studies there for three years.
His funeral service will be held this upcoming Saturday at Augustana Lutheran Church.
