(KNOX/KXNET) – A judge has set bond conditions for a teenager accused of sexually abusing several children at a Devils Lake daycare.

Braxton Strande faces six counts of gross sexual imposition, which is a Class A felony. Each charge comes with a maximum sentence of ten years in prison, as well as a $20,000 fine. He is also facing Class B and C felonies for abusing children under six years old and for terrorizing a child.

An affidavit filed in Ramsey County District Court accuses him of touching six children while he volunteered at Little Goslings Daycare. Strande was born in 2009 and he is being charged as an adult.

The affidavit also says Strande threw a 5-year-old girl across a play area, and she hurt her knee. It says he threatened to bully a boy if the boy told anyone.

As part of his bond conditions, Strande must stay in Devils Lake except to meet with his attorney. He can’t contact the victims, and he has to stay at least 500 feet away from daycares and schools.

He was not arrested, and was summoned to appear in court this week. The bond was set at $5,000 personal recognizance, which allows someone to be released from jail without paying cash bond. Instead, Strande signed a document promising to return for all future court dates.

He will next appear in court November 4.
