(KNOX) –A 52-year-old Grand Forks man was seriously hurt Tuesday afternoon when he was on his motorcycle and got hit by an SUV on Gateway Drive.
The man was taken to Altru Hospital by ambulance. Police said Tuesday afternoon the seriousness of his injuries were unknown. The SUV driver is an 80-year-old man from Gilby and he was issued a citation for failing to yield. He was not hurt.
An investigation apparently shows the motorcyclist traveling west on Gateway Drive when the SUV turned onto Gateway when coming from a business.
Traffic on Gateway Drive from North Columbia Road to North 20th Street was shut down for around two hours.
