Demuth, Klobuchar, Tafoya and Flanagan All Win Minnesota Primary Races

(KNOX) –Yesterday was the Gubernatorial and U.S Senate Primary Election in Minnesota.

In the DFL Gubernatorial Primary, U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar won with 89 percent of support. In the GOP Gubernatorial Primary, Minnesota House Speaker Lisa Demuth won with 43 percent of the vote. My Pillow Founder Mike Lindell came in second place with 32 percent and Businessman Kendall Qualls came in third with 21 percent.

In the GOP U.S. Senate Primary, former sportscaster Michele Tafoya won with 52 percent of the vote, while former Navy SEAL Adam Schwarze came in second with 24 percent. Former NBA player Royce White came in third with 11 percent.

In the DFL Senate primary, Minnesota Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan won with 59 percent of the vote, as she beat Congresswoman Angie Craig, who recorded 39 percent.

All of the winning candidates in the Gubernatorial and U.S Senate primaries except for Demuth won Polk County. Lindell won Polk County in the GOP Governor’s primary.

Demuth will face Klobuchar, and Tafoya will face Flanagan. The general election is on November 3rd.

Also, Erik Osberg won the DFL nomination in the 7th Congressional District Primary. He beat Steve Carlson with 65 percent of the vote. Carlson had 35 percent. Osberg will face GOP Candidate and Incumbent Michelle Fischbach in the general election. Polk County is in this congressional district. Osberg also won Polk County.
