Minnesota Republican Gubernatorial Candidate Lisa Demuth Running In Next Tuesday’s Primary

(KNOX) –Minnesota’s primary election are coming up next Tuesday, August 11. Minnesota House speaker Lisa Demuth is running for the Republican nomination for governor. Demuth says her work with a divided state house will help her navigate bipartisan efforts.

Demuth says she is determined to address a handful of issues important to Minnesota voters. Tackling fraud is high on her list of priorities.

Demuth plans to work with the legislature to pass a non-partisan Office of Inspector General to help stop fraud in all parts of government. She is running against Republican Businessmen Mike Lindell and Kendall Qualls. The winner of the GOP Primary will most likely face U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar in the general election. Early voting will end on Monday.
