(KNOX) –Avery Scott is the second UND football player in four days to be given a temporary restraining order in his eligibility case for this upcoming season. The temporary restraining order was approved by a Grand Forks County District Court Judge on Monday.
Court documents say the NCAA is temporarily restrained from denying Scott’s eligibility waiver request and they are also prevented from not allowing Scott to practice and compete with the team while the restraining order is pending.
Scott’s hearing on the motion for preliminary injunction will happen at the Grand Forks County Courthouse on August 18th at 9:00am. His teammate, Jonnie Wiltshire was given the same restraining order last Thursday. Wiltshire’s hearing will be at the County Courthouse on August 14th.
The Fighting Hawks football team starts fall camp today and their first practice is tomorrow. They begin the 2026 season on August 27 when they host Long Island at the Alerus Center.
