(KNOX) – Candidates seeking School Board and City Council positions in East Grand Forks can begin filing their paperwork.
Filing for city offices in East Grand Forks officially opened yesterday. Candidates seeking School Board and City Council positions can start filing their paperwork to run for office, and they have until July 28 at 5pm to submit their paperwork to the city’s administration office at City Hall.
Applicants must fill out an affidavit of candidacy, their contact information and they must confirm which position they seek.
There are three seats up for election in November. The Ward 2 position held by Ben Pokrzywinski, the Ward 4 held by Dale Helms, and one of the at-large seats held by Karen Peterson.
Filing for School Board seats also opened yesterday and applications will be accepted until July 28. Applicants can submit their paperwork to the East Grand Forks School District office. Amanda Holweger, Lindsey King and Josh Perkerewicz all have their school board seats on the November 3 ballot.
