Minnesota Man Arrested For Attacking Two People On Jefferson Bus

(KNOX) – A man is facing assault charges after deputies say he attacked two passengers on a Jefferson Bus Lines bus. The bus was traveling on I-94 Sunday evening.

Wilkin County Sheriff’s Office deputies found two passengers who had sustained face and head injuries when they were assaulted with a key.

The suspect had gotten off the bus before deputies arrived. He was seen walking eastbound on Interstate 94. Deputies found the suspect with help from the Clay County Sheriff’s Office and took him into custody without incident.

Russell Anderson was transported to the Wilkin County Jail. He is being held on suspicion of two counts of third-degree assault and formal charges have not yet been filed.

The incident is being investigated by the Wilkin County Sheriff’s Office.
