(KNOX) – The Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library announced Thursday it has received a $26 million donation from investor Kenneth C. Griffin to help complete the library in Medora. The contribution is one of the largest donations it’s received and the library’s west wing will be named the Kenneth C. Griffin West Wing.
The west wing will serve as the primary public entrance to the library. It will include permanent and temporary exhibition galleries, as well as spaces for educational programming. Library officials say the donation will help further the institution’s mission of promoting leadership, conservation and civic engagement inspired by the legacy of President Theodore Roosevelt.
Griffin is the CEO of Citadel and founder of Griffin Catalyst.
