(KNOX) – Construction that will build a lodging facility for Sanford cancer patients in Fargo has started.
The Peltier Lodge will be located at the site of the old Scandia Hotel. It will house up to 23 patients and their caregivers.
The facility will also feature communal spaces, kitchenettes, a wellness room, and an outdoor courtyard patio.
An average of 54 patients at the Roger Maris Cancer Center need temporary or long-term lodging each day, and patients who stay at the lodging will remain as long as they need care.
The lodge is estimated to be completed by June 2027.
