(KNOX) -An 80-year-old woman from Grand Forks was hit by a pickup truck when she was in a crosswalk Saturday afternoon in Walker, Minnesota.
The incident happened around 2 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 371 and 5th Street North. A 67-year-old man from Lake Elmo, Minnesota was driving a 2017 Nissan Titan pickup. He had a green light and was waiting for traffic to clear when he struck the pedestrian in the crosswalk.
The pickup was nearly stopped when it hit the woman. The woman was taken to Bemidji Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
