(KNOX) – North Dakota will open it’s newest state park next week, a park located in a popular area not far from Grand Forks.
Pembina Gorge State Park will open for camping and other activities Tuesday, June 9th. The park is northwest of Walhalla.
Heavy rain postponed an official opening ceremony, but the original opening date will be kept. The ceremony will happen later.
The park is the first OHV state park in North Dakota’s state park system, and will feature larger camping pads and trailer parking to accommodate the OHV traveler. The park is also located on an extensive trail system for hiking and snowmobiling.
