(KNOX) – Northland Community & Technical College has secured a workforce development grant from the Minnesota Jobs Skills Partnership program. Minnesota’s Department of Employment and Economic Development says a total of ten grants were dished out to seven educational institutions for customized workforce training programs.
NCTC will receive $97,552 dollars in a partnership with Consolidated Equipment Ground out of Alexandria (MN). The goal is to develop a 260-hour training program that will target CEG’s manufacturing facility in Fosston (MN). The company markets light construction attachments compatible with major machinery brands.
Since 2019 the grant program has awarded $44.9 million dollars statewide to train over 45,000 workers and has leveraged $74.5 million in private funding.
