Central Enters EDC Play after Play-in Wins

(KNOX) – After surviving play-in basketball, both Central basketball teams will start their run though the regular Eastern Dakota Conference tournament tonight.

West Fargo Horace will play host to both Central teams tonight, as the Hawks finished as regular season champions in both boys and girls basketball this season.  Both Horace teams finished 15-1 in league play, with their boys’ lone EDC loss to Fargo Davies by a single point, and the girls lone loss to rival West Fargo Sheyenne in overtime.

Central’s girls held serve at home Saturday in the play-in round, defeating Fargo South 56-49 to enter the tournament after finishing eighth in the league.

The Knights’ boys had to win a road playin game at Fargo Shanley, not an easy feat, but did so convincingly 56-43.

The games begin tonight at 5:30 PM
