(KNOX) – The Grand Forks School Board approved an over 4 million dollar cut in the budget.
The budget cut will take place in in 2026-2027 school year. The cuts include the reduction of staff.
The budget cuts come after a months-long budget realignment process, which began with the revelation of a $4.4 million deficit for the 2025-2026 school year. Last month school administrators came up with budget cuts. Each representing a budget cut or revenue opportunity adding up to $4.9 million.
The Grand Forks School Board voted to approve all of the recommendations that fell under the spending plan group.
