(KNOX) – Grand Forks has become the first city in North Dakota to achieve certified Blue Zones Community designation. The certification recognizes the city’s Near North Neighborhood transformation in well-being through the successful implementation of Blue Zones Project.
To mark this milestone, Blue Zones Project Grand Forks will host a Certification Celebration event, inviting community members and local media to join in recognizing this significant achievement in community well-being.
The event will be held this Thursday, November 06th, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m at the Career Impact Academy 4201 Career Drive, Grand Forks.
Brought to Grand Forks through an innovative sponsorship by Altru Health System and the North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services, in collaboration with Blue Zones, LLC, Blue Zones Project, is a community-by-community well-being improvement initiative designed to enable community members to live longer, happier lives with lower rates of chronic diseases and a higher quality of life.
