(KNOX) – The Walsh County Sheriff’s Office said an incident that happened at the Walsh County Jail over the weekend.
On Sunday morning officers saw an inmate suffering from a medical emergency.
Deputies and correctional officers began life-saving measures before paramedics were called to assist. All attempts were unsuccessful and the male inmate died.
The incident remains under investigation and the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation will be the leading agency to look into the death.
