(KNOX) – The Grand Forks International Airport is getting a grant from the Federal Aviation Administration of more than $15 million which will be used for infrastructure improvements.
The reconstruction and upgrade will be of the primary runway and taxiway pavement and lighting that have reached the end of their useful life.
Reconstruction will be completed in three phases. The complete project is estimated to cost $60 million, with a federal funding share of nearly $40 million.
Construction at the Grand Forks International Airport is expected to take place next year through 2028.
