(KNOX) – According to the highway patrol a Ford Escape, driven by woman, 70, of Cavalier, was eastbound on North Dakota Highway 17, on the east side of Grafton, was approaching an eastbound farm implement in the lanes of travel.
A pick-up, driven by a juvenile was westbound on North Dakota Highway 17, in the left lane. The driver of the Escape attempted to overtake the implement in a no passing zone, crossed the center line and struck the pick-up head-on. At the time of the crash, dense fog was present. The occupants of the Escape were transported to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.
The juvenile was transported to a local hospital and their name will not be released.
The farm implement was not part of the crash.
