(KNOX) – Officers of the Grand Forks Police Department were dispatched to the area of 6th Ave North and North 3rd Street for a disturbance. When police arrived on scene, they made contact with a 26-year-old man who had been assaulted and by the suspect who was no longer on scene.
The victim told officers he was walking in the area when another man approached him, asked him for his cell phone and then assaulted him and stole his phone.
A description of the male suspect was given by witnesses and located a few blocks away.
Ryan Delorme was arrested and brought to the Grand Forks Jail for robbery and simple assault.
