(KNOX) – The GOP is getting ready for the 21 day opening to select a state House replacement for District 42 in Grand Forks.
Under state law, local district organizations are charged with choosing a replacement when a lawmaker leaves a seat.
The opening comes as the current holder of the seat Emily O’Brien, resigned to take a state job.
