(KNOX) -The University of North Dakota has received nearly $2 million in funding for National Science Foundation Research Traineeship program.
The program centers on assessing the status of land and water resources, looking at their uses and how to protect them as natural resources.
According to UND the program will create collaboration with stakeholders, working on projects assessing the status of land and water resources.
The grant will support projects that explore sustainable and efficient use of those natural resources as well as strategies to protect them.
