Most Grand Forks City Offices Closed for The 4th of July

(KNOX) – Most city offices will be closed on Friday, July 4th for Independence Day.  Regular city business will not be conducted that day.  However, emergency services will continue to operate as scheduled.   

City Bus, Senior Rider Bus and Dial-A-Ride will not run on July 4th.  City Bus, Senior Rider Bus and Dial-A-Ride will resume regular routes on Saturday, July 5th.

City services such as refuse collection will not take place on Friday, July 4th.  Residents with regularly scheduled Friday pickup will have their trash collected on Wednesday, July 2nd and Thursday, July 3rd – along with regularly scheduled routes.

Recycling pickup will continue as normal. Regular Friday B route will have their recycling picked up on Friday, July 4th. This is a recent change and is not depicted in the 2025 City Calendar.  Please refer to your city calendar or log on to www.grandforksgov.com for more details.

City offices will reopen for regular business on Monday, July 7th.
