(KNOX) -According to the highway patrol a pick-up was traveling southbound on 112th Avenue South East a mile east of Rogers in Barnes County, a Peterbilt was traveling westbound on 24th Street.
112th Avenue South East is controlled by stop signs for both northbound and southbound traffic.
The pick-up failed to stop at the stop sign and entered the intersection, striking the rear passenger trailer tank of the Peterbilt in a T-bone style collision.
The driver of the pick-up was not wearing a seat belt and sustained serious, life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash. The driver of the Peterbilt was uninjured in the accident.
The incident remains under investigation by the highway patrol.
