Part of 24th Avenue South in Grand Forks to Close Monday

(KNOX) – Crews in Grand Forks will begin a reconstruction project on 24^th Avenue South from South Columbia Road to South 34^th Street on Monday, June 9th.

Phase 1 will involve work in the medians along 24^th Avenue South. This will impact left hand turns in the work area.

Phase 2 will be the reconstruction of the west bound lanes.  During phase 2, 24^th Avenue South will be closed to west bound traffic.  East bound traffic will be open.

Phase 3 will be the reconstruction of the east bound lanes.  24^th Avenue South will be closed to east bound traffic during phase 3.  West bound traffic will be open.

Detour signs will be posted for all phases of this project.

Work on 24^th Avenue South is expected to be finished by mid-October, weather permitting.
