Minnesota House Bill Would Change Certain Childcare Industry Regulations

(KNOX) -A Republican authored House bill in Minnesota would change certain regulations for the childcare industry, a move they argue would lower childcare costs in Minnesota.

Hanska Rep. Paul Torkelson said that the bill isn’t perfect but does help address issues facing childcare in the state.

The bill would change the qualifications needed to work or volunteer in a licensed childcare center and modify center staffing patterns.
