(KNOX) – A Senate bill that to support the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa’s proposed casino and resort in Grand Forks came out of committee with a 4-2 “Do Not Pass” recommendation.
State Senator Scott Meyer tells KNOX News that the Grand Forks casino bill has an amendment to tighten the language… and faces a Friday vote.
The District 18 Senator says, “I am working to amend the casino bill to narrow the scope from Grand Forks County down to the quarter section of land the tribe currently owns.”
Meyer says the Historic Horse Racing bill for Fargo failed the full Senate 16 to 31.
