(KNOX) – North Dakota Governor Kelly Armstrong’s bonding bill includes $120 million for improvements to airports in Grand Forks, Fargo and Dickinson.
The funds will come following a record year in 2024 for air travel in North Dakota. The North Dakota Aeronautics Commission says 1,246,520 passengers boarded flights in 2024.
Grand Forks International Airport had 91,068 of those passengers, down 1,119 from December 2023.
December 2024 boardings at GFK were 8,214, up 14 percent from December 2023.
For the year, Fargo Hector Airport boardings were more than 546-thousand, up more than 30,000 passengers from 2023.
