
(KNOX) – According to the East Grand Forks Fire Department a fire at a home Thursday morning left a family displaced.
Firefighters answered a call for the report of smoke at a house on Third Avenue Northeast.
When fire crews got to the scene they found light smoke coming from the roof of the single level house.
Firefighters say that the fire was likely caused due to defective wiring.
The family is being helped by the American Red Cross.
The East Grand Forks Fire Department was assisted at the scene by the East Grand Forks Police Department, Altru Ambulance and East Grand Forks Water and Light.
