Grand Forks Police Make an Arrest After Chase

(KNOX) – The Grand Forks Police said that on Tuesday they attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation in the area of Lincoln Park.

The driver of the vehicle failed to stop, then accelerated away from the officer and a vehicle pursuit started .

The driver fled northbound from the park until crashing into a pump station building at 100 8th Avenue South.

The driver then fled on foot from the crash, but was located a short distance away and taken into custody.

The vehicle, a 2022 Toyota Tundra, sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. The pump station building also sustained damage. There were no injuries reported.

The driver of the vehicle, Brody Welsh, 37, of Grand Forks was arrested and is facing various charges.
