(KNOX) – Grand Forks County voters withstood long, long lines and elected a Republican slate of officers in the November 5 General Election.
In District 18, incumbent Senator Scott Meyer was declared the winner. District 18 will send Steve Vetter and Nels Christianson to the North Dakota House of Representatives.
In District 42, Claire Cory advances to the North Dakota Senate, Doug Osowski and Emily O’Brien go to the State House.
District 20 incumbent Senator Randy Lemm wins, as do incumbent Representatives Mike Beltz and Jared Hagert, who both ran unopposed.
In the nonpartisan race for the Grand Forks County Commission, Terry Bjerke and Cynthia Pic were elected.
In Minnesota, East Grand Forks Mayor Steve Gander and John Burkel will represent Districts 1B and 1A, respectively, in the Minnesota House. U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar coasted to a reelection victory.
