(KNOX) -After getting an update on a proposed sports complex in Grand Forks, City Council member Danny Weigel says for the facility to be a winner depends on what will be done there by the staff.
“This community is going to be successful, this facility is going to be successful based on what you all bring in tournaments,” Weigel said.
Weigel sad that he would like to see the staff bring in more tournaments than average.
“So that would be my challenge to you. If you are doing two tournaments, I want to see eight. If you are doing three tournaments, I want to see ten,” Weigel said.
He said that if the sports complex is a winner, everybody involved is successful.
“That benefits the City of Grand Forks. That benefits the facility. That helps pay for all of it,” Weigel said.
