(KNOX/Valley News Live) – The North Dakota State Patrol is asking the public for help in finding a pickup truck driver who was involved in a hit-and-run crash that hurt a bicyclist in Dickinson.

A 26-year-old man was riding a bicycle eastbound on 34th Street West last Sunday a little after 4am. The bicycle had a flashing rear light when an unknown vehicle hit it from behind. The driver fled without stopping, as the bicyclist was treated for his injuries at the scene and then released.

Troopers describe the suspect vehicle as a white 2015 or newer Chevrolet or GMC pickup with standard North Dakota license plates. It had a plastic-type container secured with straps in the bed and may have damage or identifying marks on the front passenger side.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the State Emergency Communications Center at 701-328-9921.
