(KNOX) – The City of Grand Forks will start vacuum leaf collection next week, as crews will follow street maintenance routes and make two complete passes through the city.
Residents can find the collection schedule for their property and any make-up day information online at www.grandforksgov.com/leafcollection.
Residents can pile leaves loosely on the berm, where there can be no grass or branches and it must be within 3 ft of the curb. They must also be away from trees, signs, and mailboxes. Leaves can’t be put in the streets or gutters.
Residents may also haul their leaves and/or grass to one of the yard waste drop sites through mid-November. It is being asked that plastic bags be removed when someone is depositing leaves at the sites so that this material can be composted.
