(KNOX) – The 11th Annual Altru Family YMCA Pumpkins for Parkinson’s Day is today at the Altru Family YMCA.
There will be pumpkins on display from 8:30am to 5:30pm, and there will be a short program at 12 noon. There will also be a lunch and a Dessert Contest. Dan Fjestad is the President and CEO of the Altru Family YMCA and he says this event helps fundraise for the Parkinson Wellness Recovery and Rock Steady Boxing programs.
Fjestad also says there will be a lot of pumpkins for attendees to see.
He also explains how this program helps those with Parkinson’s get good physical activity.
