Veterans Honor Flight of ND and MN Hosting Fundraiser at Culver’s Tuesday and Friday

(KNOX) – Culver’s in Grand Forks will have a fundraiser for the Veterans Honor Flight of North Dakota and Minnesota. The fundraiser will be Tuesday, October 6th and Friday, October 10th from 10am to 7pm both days.

A portion of its sales will be used to replace items that were stolen from an American Legion trailer in Moorhead.

Part of the money that will be raised will go to support the program that takes area veterans on a fully funded trip to Washington, D.C. The veterans on this trip will see war memorials that will be built to honor them. An Honor Flight from Grand Forks is scheduled for November 1 through November 3.

Area veterans who are confirmed for that trip will meet at the Alerus Center on October 18th for an information meeting regarding their flights and specific items they will receive for the trip.

Volunteers will be selling several items like hats, mugs, quilts and kitchen towels in the lobby at Culver’s. There will also be $10 raffle tickets sold for a chance to win a Halloween-themed quilt made by Deb Solem of Oslo, Minnesota.

Veterans who would like to apply for the Honor Flight program can call 701-746-8261.
