(KNOX) – The 11th Annual Altru Family YMCA Pumpkins for Parkinson’s Day will be this Wednesday, October 7, at the Altru Family YMCA.
There will be pumpkins on display from 9am to 4pm, and there will be a short program at 12noon. There will also be a lunch and a Dessert Contest. The lunch is a free willing offering and the dessert contest will cost $5 to sample different desserts.
Different sized pumpkins can be taken home for a free will offering and children can choose a tiny pumpkin to keep at no cost.
Donations are being raised to go toward specialized equipment, transportation assistance, and operating costs for the Parkinson Wellness Recovery and Rock Steady Boxing programs.
