Driver Arrested In Grand Forks On DUI Charge Tuesday Afternoon

(KNOX/Valley News Live) – A driver was arrested in Grand Forks on a DUI charge Tuesday afternoon when police say Ian Lacrosse ran a red light and crashed into another vehicle.

Grand Forks Police Officers were called to the intersection of 17th Avenue South and South Columbia Road for a report of a crash at around 1:42 pm.

Officers say they found a 2013 Toyota Scion in the middle of the roadway and a 2021 GMC Sierra near the intersection, and both vehicles have serious damage. 

Police determine the GMC was turning north onto South Columbia Road from 17th Avenue South when it was hit by Lacrosse’s Toyota. Lacrosse was going south down Columbia Road when he went through a red light.

The driver of the GMC had minor injuries and was not taken to the hospital. Lacrosse was taken from the scene by Altru Ambulance.

Lacrosse was arrested for DUI and he was cited for ignoring a traffic signal.
