(KNOX) – The North Dakota Department of Transportation will host a public input meeting on Thursday in room 12 at the Alerus Center. The meeting will be an open house and discussion about the Northern Red River Flood Study. It will go from 5pm to 7pm, and there will be a formal presentation at 5:30.
A press release from the NDDOT says the Flood Study is a planning level project. The purpose of the project is to develop and prioritize alternative options that lower the frequency and duration of both interstate and state highway closures because of flooding of the Red River. The North Dakota Department of Transportation will work on the project with both the Minnesota Department of Transportation and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
