(KNOX) -Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has proclaimed that it is Patriot Day, and he has ordered all United States and Minnesota flags to fly at half-staff at all state buildings. The flags will be lowered from sunrise to sundown to honor the victims who died during the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
Walz is also encouraging individuals, businesses and other organizations to lower flags.
