(KNOX) –Only three people will be running for three open seats on the East Grand Forks School Board in November.

Incumbents Josh Perkerewicz and Amanda Holweger are running for second terms, while Gwen Ulland is running to replace Lindsey King.

The School District is proposing three budget referendums that they are asking voters to approve in November. Residents who live within the district will vote on whether to approve an operations levy of $600,000 a year for 10 years, $26 million for deferred maintenance projects, and $10 million in order for New Heights Elementary School to have the district’s preschool program.

Ulland is running for a first term, and she says she would be in favor of a complete cell phone ban in public schools. She’s in favor of a similar ban that went into effect in North Dakota last year.

East Grand Forks residents who live in the district will vote on all three candidates and the referendums in the November 3rd general election.
