(KNOX/KFYR) –A woman was arrested when she was seen stealing money from a Pizza Hut in Williston overnight.Â
Police say they saw Nicole Lynn Douglas walking around and breaking into a closed Pizza Hut after midnight last Friday.
Court documents say an officer watched her sneak in through the back door and walk out. Douglas claimed she was an employee delivering deposit bags to a coworker when police confronted her. She also allowed officers to search her.
Police found multiple zippered cash bags stuffed inside her waistband.
The restaurant’s owner quickly debunked her story, telling officers she did not work there and had no business being inside.
Police say Douglas had stolen over $1,500. She is now facing burglary and theft charges.
