(KNOX) –A new KSTP/SurveyUSA poll shows how voters are viewing candidates a few weeks before the Minnesota primary elections on August 11. In the GOP Governor’s primary, My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell leads with 35 percent of support, while House Speaker Lisa Demuth has 26 percent and Businessman and Army Veteran Kendall Qualls has 11 percent.
The DFL Senate primary has Lieutenant Governor Penny Flanagan and Congresswoman Angie Craig tied at 40 percent. In the GOP Senate primary, former sportscaster Michelle Tafoya has 41 percent of support, compared to former NBA player Royce White, who has 10 percent, and Marines Veteran Adam Schwarze, who has 5 percent of support.
More than 20 percent of voters are undecided in both Republican primaries, and 16 percent are undecided in the DFL race.
In the Attorney General’s race, the same poll showed Republican Candidate and Lawyer Ron Schutz is only four points behind incumbent Democrat Keith Ellison. Ellison leads that poll 42 percent to 38 percent. That election is in November. Minnesota has not elected a Republican Attorney General since 1966.
