(KNOX/KFGO) –Two sisters are facing felony charges after shots were fired at a Fargo home.
Fargo Police responded to a call for a domestic incident that involved a gun Sunday morning. Ashanti Demarrias tried to walk away from the scene before police found where the gun was. Police tried to detain her, but her sister, Lashanti, pulled an officer away and tried to prevent them from arresting her sister.
Officers were able to separate and arrest both women. They found out that Ashanti and a man had been in an argument because he was cheating on her. Ashanti says she went into the bathroom and fired one round into the ceiling to see if the man cared about her.
Ashanti Demarrias is charged with terrorizing and reckless endangerment. Lashanti Demarrias is charged with felony preventing arrest.
