Cass County Sheriff’s Office More Than 240 Pounds of Meth, Cocaine and Fentanyl Combined Have Been Seized So Far in 2026

(KNOX/Valley News Live) –The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says they have seized more than 233 pounds of meth, nearly 8 pounds of cocaine, and a pound and a half of fentanyl powder in Cass County in just the first six months of this year. Investigators also say they have seized seven firearms and roughly $81,000 in cash.

Cass County Sheriff Jesse Jahner says the numbers reflect shifting trends in drug trafficking. He says meth, cocaine and fentanyl are emerging as the three dominant substances in the region. 

The Cass County Drug Task Force had more than double the search warrants it had last year, where it went from 63 in 2024 to 130 in 2025. Drug cases also increased from 168 in 2024 to 178 in 2025.

Firearms seizures have also risen. The Drug Task Force seized 29 firearms in 2024 and 42 in 2025. The Federal Interdiction Unit saw an even more dramatic increase, seizing six firearms in 2024 and 16 in 2025.
