(KNOX) –The founder of German Law in Grand Forks has sold his practice, but he will continue to work with the firm part time
Ray German has practiced law in Greater Grand Forks for more than 50 years, and is merging his law practice with Thompson Law, which is based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The merger took effect July 1 and German Law has been renamed to Thompson Law.
The firm will continue to operate in its current location in the Midtown District Mall on Washington Street and 17th Avenue South.
German says he chose to merge his firm with Thompson Law because that firm also specializes in estate planning and business planning.
German is 79-year-old. He grew up in Hankinson, North Dakota, earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and economics at NDSU. He earned his law degree at UND, and was admitted to the bar in North Dakota and Minnesota in the 1970s.
