The Cass County Drug Task Force, Red River Valley SWAT Team and the Fargo Police Department, executed the warrant around 6 a.m. at a residence on 14th Street South.

Officers arrested 50-year-old Deshun Jones on multiple outstanding warrants, that includes a probation violation related to fourth-degree assault and a Clay County warrant for fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle.

Jones also was arrested on new charges of Class C felony tampering with physical evidence, as well as second-offense possession of methamphetamine and second-offense possession of drug paraphernalia.

20-year-old Mya Paul was also arrested on suspicion of possessing  methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Additional charges are pending.

Officers used a flash sound diversion device during entry to help safely take the primary suspect into custody. Police said the device set off the building’s fire alarm system.

After the scene was secured, Fargo Police and Fargo Fire Department reset the alarms and ensured the building was safe.

No injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing, and police said no further information is available.
