(KNOX) –A 33-year-old Moorhead man was arrested in Fergus Falls for driving a stolen vehicle.
Brandon Jones was taken into custody last Saturday, as an Otter Tail County deputy’s automatic license plate reader alerted the car Jones was driving was reported stolen a few days before.
Moorhead police told the deputy the owner of the car believed that Jones had taken the vehicle without their permission and that there was footage of him stealing it. Court documents say that Jones admitted to officers that he had taken his neighbor’s vehicle without their permission.
Jones made his first court appearance in Otter Tail County on Monday and he has been charged with receiving stolen property and driving with a canceled driver’s license. He will face any possible charges in Clay County.
