(KNOX/KFGO) –A 35-year-old man found guilty for murdering his childhood friend in Fargo has been sentenced to life in prison.
Leo Dartoe was found guilty by a jury back in February for the 2024 murder of Sampson Bleh at an apartment complex. Bleh was shot in the chest and died despite life-saving measures from officers.
Dartoe fled Fargo after the shooting. He was arrested by police in Atlanta, Georgia in October 2024. Agencies from five states and the federal government worked to arrest Dartoe.
